Step 2: Learn Before You Build
Before jumping into assembly, take a minute to review what each brain part does. The model includes easy-to-read labels to help kids associate names with functions.
Here are the main parts included:
Cerebellum
Frontal Lobe
Occipital Lobe
Parietal Lobe
Temporal Lobe
You can also look at a diagram (included in the worksheet) to help guide the placement.
Step 3: Match & Sort
Let your child pick up each piece and try to match it to the correct spot on the brain base. This puzzle-like approach boosts spatial reasoning and helps reinforce anatomy terms naturally.
Encourage them to say each name out loud as they place it: “This is the cerebellum. It controls balance and movement.”

Step 4: Place on the Stand
Once all the pieces are in, fit the finished model onto the included stand. It’s ready for display on a desk, shelf, or science corner!
Step 5: Reinforce with the Free Worksheet
Use the black-and-white worksheet at the end of the post to reinforce what they’ve learned. Kids can color the parts, cut them out, and label the brain one more time!
💡 Tips for Parents and Teachers
Make it interactive: Turn it into a guessing game! Ask questions like, “Which part helps you solve math problems?” (Answer: Frontal lobe!)
Incorporate storytelling: As your child places each brain piece, talk about real-life examples. For instance, “When you learn to ride a bike, your cerebellum is hard at work!”
Use it with older lessons: This puzzle model can enhance lessons on the nervous system, reflexes, or sensory organs.
Keep it on display: Leave the finished model on a shelf or science table to inspire more learning. Kids are more likely to revisit a subject when the visuals remain in view.
